Dinner Event to Raise Funds for COTA in Honor of Local Child

O’Fallon, MO – A dinner event, “Texas Roadhouse Dine to Donate”, will be held for COTA in honor of Gabriel Ward, a Troy-area child who needs a kidney transplant. The event is planned for January 7, 2016 from 3:45 – 10:00 pm at Texas Roadhouse – 1600 Mexico Loop Road, O’Fallon, MO 63366. One-year-old Gabriel is in need of a lifesaving kidney transplant at Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital in Saint Louis, MO. Funds are being raised to assist with transplant-related expenses.

Texas Roadhouse will donate 10% of your total purchase to COTA in honor of Gabriel Ward. Simply give your server a flyer or mention Gabriel’s name when placing your order. COTA volunteers will have a table set up to share Gabe’s story and other upcoming events.

“The Ward’s family and friends want to encourage everyone in the community to attend our upcoming dinner in an effort to help give Gabriel a second chance at life,” said Event Chair Liz Stojeba. “100% of the funds raised during the Texas Roadhouse Dine to Donate fundraiser will assist with transplant-related expenses.”

Gabriel was diagnosed with bladder outlet obstruction and kidney failure. The Ward family needs an estimated $50,000 to pay transplant-related expenses. The COTA campaign for Gabriel Ward have several fundraising events planned for 2016, including a trivia night in February and golf tournament in March! Gabriel’s family has asked for assistance from the Children’s Organ Transplant Association (COTA), a national charity based in Bloomington, Indiana. COTA is dedicated to organizing and guiding communities in raising funds for transplant-related expenses. COTA’s services are completely free of charge, and 100% of funds generated by COTA community fundraising campaigns are available for transplant-related expenses.
