VanHooser to take aim with the Archers!

FZN Senior Emily VanHooser recently committed to play basketball for St. Louis Community College. The basketball program for SLCC operates out of the Meramec campus located in Kirkwood. VanHooser was a key member of a Panther team that won 18 games this past season. A tough defensive player, VanHooser earned three varsity letters in the sport of basketball. She was also a member of the school's highly successful marching band program. In addition, VanHooser was the primary pitcher for the Panther softball team this past fall. In all, VanHooser collected a total of 9 varsity letters at FZN. A scholar-athlete, VanHooser was named a member of the GAC "All-Conference" Academic teams for both softball and basketball.

St. Louis Community College competes as a member of the Missouri Community College Athletic Conference and is affiliated with the NJCAA. Last season, the Archers finished 5th in the NJCAA D2 National Tournament.
