Varsity Football defeats West 31 - 19!
The Varsity Football team moved to 2 - 0 on the season with a 31 - 19 victory over Ft. Zumwalt West.

The Varsity Football team defeated cross-town rival Fort Zumwalt West 31 - 19 last Friday night. The Panther defense led the way, holding West to just 19 points and coming up with a couple of impressive goal-line stands. Cam Fullerton recorded 18 tackles to go along with an interception. Other defensive stand-outs include, Dacey Brister who recorded 21 tackles along with a pair of forced fumbles (one of which he returned for a touchdown), and Tre’ Johnson who accounted for 12 tackles.
Offensively it was Brenden Pierce who led the way for the Panthers, as he threw for 184 yards and 3 touchdowns, while Deon Lewis racked up 133 yards and scored the game’s final touchdown. Cam Fullerton had 4 catches for 70 yards and two touchdowns, and Tre’ Johnson added 65 yards and a touchdown as well.
The win marked the first time in Zumwalt West’s impressive football history that they were defeated by a rival Zumwalt school.

The Panthers return home next Friday (9/5) as they play host to the Troy Trojans. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:00 pm.
