Varsity Football wraps up the GAC Central Title!

The Panther Football team improved to 7 - 0 on the season with a 32 - 20 victory over Holt.

The Varsity Football team captured their first conference title since 2011 as they moved to a perfect 4 - 0 in GAC Central play, and 7 - 0 overall by defeating Holt 32 - 20. The heavy rain throughout the week made for sloppy field conditions at Holt. Early on, the Panthers had some difficulty finding their footing as Holt jumped to a 20 - 12 halftime lead. The Panthers responded by scoring 20 unanswered second half points to roll to their seventh straight victory this season.

Leading the way for the Panther offense was Deon Lewis, who rushed for a game-high 288 yards and three touchdowns. Lewis now has 1100 yards on the season. He is averaging an impressive 9.6 yards per carry. Quarterback, Cade Brister, chipped in with 101 passing yards; including an 84 yard touchdown strike to Sam Bartlett.

The defense, which shut Holt out in the second half, was led by the tackling of Dacey Brister, Cameren Fullerton, and Tay Robinson. Alex Camargo pitched in with 7 tackles and a 1st half interception.
