Watson hopes to "Sting" with the Bees!
FZN Senior Cerry Watson to play football for the St. Ambrose (IA) "Fighting Bees".

FZN Senior Cerry Watson recently committed to play football at St. Ambrose University located in Davenport, Iowa. Watson was a 2-year starter for the Panther football team that went a combined 22 - 3 over the course of the last two seasons. This past season, Watson collected 52 solo tackles, with 13 of those being for a loss, from his linebacker position. He also totaled 25 assists, 3 sacks, and recorded 2 fumbles and an interception. His one interception occurred in the overtime period against Francis Howell, therefore sealing the victory for the Panthers. For his efforts, Watson was named as a GAC Central 2nd team "All-Conference" performer. Watson also played on the offensive side for the Panthers as a slot-back. He rushed for 120 yards on 11 carries and caught 5 balls for a total of 63 yards. Watson also lettered in basketball and track for North High.
St. Ambrose University, whose moniker is the "Fighting" Bees, is a NAIA member who competes in the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC). Last season the Bees recorded a 6 - 4 overall record.
