• Kansas City keeps growing, gained 13,000 people in 5 years, says new census data (kansascity.com) — Raytown’s population is estimated to have slipped about 2.3% since 2020, dropping from 29,838 residents to 29,154 in 2025, even as nearby cities mostly grew. New Census Bureau estimates show Kansas City, Missouri adding more than 13,000 people in five years, while Independence lost residents and suburbs like Blue Springs, Lee’s Summit, and Raymore saw notable gains.
