Young, a single person, dated March 6, 2017, recorded on March 6, 2017, as Instrument No. 2017-1104, Offi (sedaliademocrat.com) — A Sedalia property in the S & G Addition is scheduled for a trustee’s sale at the Pettis County Courthouse on Oct. 30, 2026, due to default on a deed of trust. The auction will be held at 11:30 a.m. at the courthouse’s west front door and requires certified funds from the highest bidder.
   

2. Sedalia area police reports for Sept. 30 (sedaliademocrat.com) — Sedalia police responded to several notable incidents on Sept. 28, including a disturbance at Centennial Park that led to a weapons-related arrest and 24-hour hold. Officers also investigated a burglary at a home under construction, a $2,000 property damage report, a hit-and-run at South Limit and West 20th, and a domestic disturbance on East Second Street.
   

3. Motorcycle crash kills Sweet Springs man, injures Sedalia woman (kttn.com) — A Sedalia woman was moderately injured and a Sweet Springs man was killed in a motorcycle–SUV collision Tuesday afternoon on Highway 50 at Sadie Lane in Pettis County. The woman, who was not wearing a seat belt, was taken to Bothwell Regional Health Center, while both vehicles were totaled in Troop A’s 45th fatal crash of 2026.
   

4. Wear Red for Women donates AEDs to Maplewood & Applewood (ksisradio.com) — Sedalia-area residents are seeing more lifesaving equipment thanks to Wear Red for Women, which just donated AEDs to Maplewood Church and Applewood Christian School. Funded by the Bothwell Foundation luncheon, the committee has already placed or committed over 130 AEDs around Sedalia and plans another fundraiser on Feb. 26, 2027, to expand coverage further.
