Pepper sat in the gallery holding the Nuts -Friedman bluffed with a dead hand and bet large.
In April 2026 Anthony R. Friedman filed an Ex Parte Motion For Protection naming Albert B. Pepper Jr. pro se as Respondent (case 2611-00554)

Motion Hearing held on May 13, 2026 in Div. 12 - Hon. William Byrnes presiding
A stream of consciousness vignette:
On that day Attorney Anthony R. Friedman took a seat on the top row of the jury box. High and lifted up he sat approximately eye level to the bench, head and shoulders above everyone else in the courtroom while we were waiting for Judge William Byrnes to make his entry.

While I was seated in the gallery I noticed that Friedman had a "stoic composure" doing the "Jared Kushner" thing. The feigned affect of which was entirely performative.

I also noticed that there was another attorney seated at the gallery level who seemed quite relaxed and attempted to engage Friedman in conversation. Friedman gave brief responses to the attorneys attempt at dialogue whereas Friedman himself seemed to be absorbed and pre-occupied with his own discomfort and feigned projection of elite confidence.
I myself, while seated in the gallery was in a state of repose and was enjoying the intrigue of all of the courtroom dynamics. For the many therein, the bailiff's, the clerk's it was business as usual and nothing that would be considered remarkable. - As for me however it was a day or reckoning. I had anticipated some sort of response from Friedman but I was astonished by how reckless was the form of Friedman's response.
I am going to reserve commentary with regard to the technical elements of the motion hearing until I receive my copy of the audio transcript of case #2611-PN00554. Anthony R. Friedman, Petitioner v Albert B. Pepper Jr., Respondent.
Prior to calling Friedman and Pepper to come forward and approach the bench Judge Byrnes spent about ten to fifteen minutes reading Friedmans Petition and Peppers Responsive Answer for a Motion To Dismiss With Prejudice.
Judge Byrnes provided us the opportunity to render our oral arguments. I don't quite recall the testimony that Friedman had rendered whereas I myself did not find it remarkable nor compelling. It lacked merit and more of an appeal to pathos than statute and an impotent, perhaps a desperate refuge in sophistry.
When Judge Byrnes turned to me, my testimony was actually quite brief citing to the judge my disability and geographical logistics that made the allegations of Friedman quite implausible. I finished my testimony stating that "I do not think this is the appropriate mechanism (ex parte) for what petitioner is trying to achieve."
Judge Byrnes asked me: "Is that all"? Then I responded: "Yes your honor, unless you want more."
Judge Byrnes turned back to Friedman, Petitioner and with an unambiguous determination upon his face said to Friedman: "I am going to grant his motion to dismiss."
Upon hearing this what was most amusing was how quickly this "elite lawyer" Super Lawyer Anthony R. Friedman vacated the courtroom. His petition was tried in the balance and found wanting.
Standing alone before the bench, the judge turned to me and said: "Where are thine accusers? Then I replied: "No where my lord." Then Judge Byrnes said: "Go, and sin no more." (Metaphorically speaking of course.)
However, every element of the allegory was indeed presented. The accuser who dragged me before the magistrate. The judge whose adjudication was as one having authority. The unclean hands of the accuser who cast the first stone. The vindication by Judge Byrnes of the accused. The swift vacating of the accuser from the scene as those who had had left from the eldest to the younger. The Respondent left standing in the presence of the judge before the bench and the subtle admonishment given by Judge Byrnes before I was dismissed.
And what of the disposition of Friedman?
"And they that see thee shall narrowly look up thee, and consider thee saying, Is this the man that made the earth to tremble, that did shake kingdoms?" isaiah 14: 16
It has been mused by many how these tropes and schemas are iterated time and again through out human history and discourse and I myself saw it unfold in Div. 12 in the 11th Judicial Circuit on May 13, 2026. Judge William Byrnes presiding.
