• 2 firefighters recovering after being injured in O'Fallon, Mo house fire (firstalert4.com) — Wentzville firefighters helped battle a serious house fire in nearby O'Fallon on Sunday, where a collapsing garage ceiling injured one firefighter and another suffered a minor knee injury. Both are expected to recover, and crews contained the blaze in about 30 minutes, heavily damaging the second floor but saving the first floor and basement, underscoring the department's regional role in major emergencies.
