• MDT gearing up to replace massive bridge west of Alberton (kpax.com) — Drivers near Alberton should prepare for years of lane reductions as the Montana Department of Transportation replaces the massive interstate bridge just west of town in a $22 million project. Crews will start access work this year, then fully dismantle and rebuild the bridge in 2027, aiming for a safer structure with wider shoulders and a 75‑year lifespan.
