• Joe's Parkway Market closing marks change near MSU in Bozeman (fairfieldsuntimes.com) — Joe's Parkway Market, the longtime family-owned specialty grocer across from MSU in Bozeman, will close in early October after 57 years. Owners say the aging building has been sold and that changing Bozeman and heartfelt customer support are making this farewell especially emotional for the family and neighborhood regulars. 
• FWP forms new panel to help shape Montana mountain lion management (fairfieldsuntimes.com) — From its Bozeman headquarters, Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks is assembling a 12–14 member panel to help guide how mountain lions are managed statewide. Members will study lion biology, gather public input, and craft recommendations on population control and quotas for the FWP commission to consider at meetings expected to begin in October.
