ā€¢ Judge rules state Commerce director appointment unlawful (ktvq.com) ā€” A Clancy resident may soon lose her role as Montanaā€™s Commerce director after a judge ruled Gov. Gianforteā€™s appointment of former Rep. Marta Bertoglio violated the state constitutionā€™s limits on lawmakers taking other offices. The ruling blocks her from serving and being paid, but she is expected to stay in place while the state appeals, including a related dispute over how the judge was assigned.
