• James ‘Jimmy' George Scholtens (bitterrootstar.com) — Family and friends in Conner are mourning Jimmy Scholtens, whose brother John “Jerry” lives in town and is among his surviving siblings. Jimmy died peacefully during a long-dreamed-of trip to Ireland and London, and loved horses, humor, and caring for family. A remembrance gathering is planned for July 18, with donations suggested to Montana horse rescues.
