• Donald Roy Peabody (villages-news.com) — An Ekalaka native, Donald Roy Peabody, who was born there in 1938, has passed away at age 87, leaving behind his sister Madlon Brence of Ekalaka and a large extended family. The obituary reflects on his Army service, Long Island career as a butcher, love of windsurfing and woodcarving, and his later years in The Villages, Florida.
