• It's Just Another Chapter (phillipscountynews.com) — Glasgow residents will soon see a new chief of police as longtime Phillips County Sheriff Jerry Lytle takes over the Glasgow Police Department on October 5, bringing more than two decades of law enforcement experience. He describes plans to rebuild trust, work closely with Valley County agencies, and get out from behind the desk, while also staying connected to the region through golf leagues and ongoing cooperation with neighboring sheriffs. 
• Glasgow Shooting Range Acquisition and Development FWP-CEA-POR-R6-26-007 (theoutdoorwire.com) — A proposed Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks lease would put the Glasgow Shooting Range under state management, with safety upgrades and better public access just north of town. Residents can weigh in on the plan by submitting comments through Oct. 23, by mail to the Region 6 office in Glasgow or via email.
• "Happy Homecoming:" Signs across Glasgow damaged by area teens (glasgowcourier.com) — Several street signs around downtown Glasgow were damaged over Homecoming weekend, and police say four local youths were involved. The Glasgow Police Department and City Attorney briefed the City Council on citations issued so far and plans to seek restitution for the cost of the signs from those found responsible.
