The City of Helena/Lewis and Clark County Heritage Tourism Council (HTC) is hosting a gathering of local historic organizations as part of the U.S. 250th celebration on Saturday, June 27, 2026 in the Capitol Rotunda. The public is invited to attend from 11:00 AM-3:00 PM.
Attendees can visit with representatives from various local historic organizations and learn more about their programs. Some of the organizations include the 2nd U.S Calvary Association, York Historical Society, Preserve Montana, Oro Fino Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution, Helena Genealogical Society, Lewis and Clark County Historical Society, Marysville Museum, the State Historic Preservation Office, and the Upper Valley Historical Society.

Wisdom Through Horses™ is an educational, experiential program that supports youth, ages 8-17, in developing self-awareness, emotional intelligence, confidence, and connection through guided activities with horses. Horses offer a unique learning environment. They respond honestly, live fully in the present moment, and invite participants to become more aware of their own energy, emotions, and intentions. No horse experience needed. This is not a riding camp. 
August 12-14. Camp begins Wednesday at 3:30 – 6:30p. Dinner included.

Join Brenda Westwood, Master Equine Gestaltist, of Horse Sense Healing, LLC for this all-inclusive, magical experience in the middle of the wilderness where you will be supported to find freedom from those old limiting stories. We will explore an ice-age cave as you explore what lies in the depths of you, ready to be acknowledged and released. Perhaps it’s even an ancestral story you no longer want to carry. Make room for new, empowering beliefs! We all have parts of our stories that get in the way of life today, sometimes outside of our awareness. Imagine finding freedom from reactivity, from lack of confidence, from the inner critic and more.
