Residents can weigh in through September 14 on a proposed easement for developing a public shooting range near Logan, using an online survey or mailed comments to Helena.
   

• Fish and Wildlife Commission to meet October 15 (mt.gov) — Montana Fish and Wildlife Commissioners will meet at the Montana Heritage Center in Helena on October 15, and locals can comment in person, at regional offices, or via Zoom. Public input is open now on grizzly bear relocation sites, new camping and commercial fee schedules, fishing regulations, and several river and wildlife proposals, with written comments due by September 24.
   

• Governor's energy task force issues final report with 20 recommendations in Helena (nbcmontana.com) — State leaders gathered at the Capitol in Helena as Governor Gianforte's Unleashing American-Made Energy Task Force delivered a final report with 20 recommendations to guide Montana's energy future. The plan emphasizes affordable, reliable power, new transmission projects, and an all-of-the-above energy mix that lawmakers will use in the 2027 session, with some steps already underway.
