• Federal Management Agencies Finalize Wild and Scenic Flathead River Strategy (flatheadbeacon.com) — Federal land managers have finalized a long-term plan for the three forks of the Flathead River, including stretches overseen from the Hungry Horse district, that will guide how recreation and conservation are balanced for years to come. Expect phased-in, free permits to track river use, new rules on camping, fires, and parking, and a chance to file formal objections during a 45-day review window.
