• Challenge against Lakeside marina construction paused over lawsuit (dailyinterlake.com) — Construction of a new commercial marina in Lakeside is on hold while a lawsuit over its permits plays out, and the county Board of Adjustments has paused an appeal challenging the project. A Lakeside resident and local advocacy group argue the marina needs a conditional use permit before any building proceeds. For now, the developer plans to seek that permit only after the court case is resolved. 
• From Runway Rehab to a New Jail, Local Infrastructure Projects Take Off Across the Flathead Valley (flatheadbeacon.com) — Flathead County is partnering with the Lakeside County Water and Sewer District on a new septage facility that could significantly change how waste from across the valley is treated. Local officials say phase one, a receiving facility, should be finished this year, pending state approval of the treatment process. The project is part of a broader wave of infrastructure upgrades, from Kalispell water systems to airport runway work and a new county jail.
