3. Author releases debut novel blending horror in Montana territory (nbcmontana.com) — A Missoula-based author has released "The Unheld," a horror-tinged Western set in a haunted Montana territory and centered on a 12-year-old girl's quest to save her father. The debut novel, launched August 25, lets a local writer showcase Montana's history, landscapes, and storytelling traditions to a national horror audience.
4. Paddleheads clinch PBL Postseason berth with win over Great Falls (nbcmontana.com) — Missoula's PaddleHeads have clinched another Pioneer Baseball League playoff berth with an 11–7 home win over Great Falls at Ogren Park, delighting fans on Fan Appreciation Night.
