• Fire levy receives resounding support in school/special district election (hagadonenewsnetwork.com) — Polson-area voters overwhelmingly approved a levy for the Polson Rural Fire District, securing $250,000 a year for equipment, vehicles, and safer emergency response. The same May 5 mail-in election also settled several nearby school board and special district races, including Pleasant View Water & Sewer District just outside town. 
• Fire in golf course pro shop extinguished quickly (leaderadvertiser.com) — A small fire in the Polson Bay Golf Course Pro Shop Tuesday morning was quickly knocked down by the Polson Fire Department, limiting damage mostly to smoke and some carpet. The shop closed for cleanup but was expected to reopen Wednesday, with Bunkers Bar and Grill unaffected and emergency crews praised for their rapid response.
