• Poplar Sports Complex Making Steps Forward (northernplainsindependent.com) — Poplar High School’s long-discussed sports complex is moving ahead, with design work finished and cost estimates ranging from $5–6 million up to $12–15 million. Superintendent Keith Erickson says the district has reserved funds and will likely seek a loan, aiming to start track construction in summer 2027 while also refinishing the school gym floor this summer.
   

• Students Receive Reach Higher Scholarships (northernplainsindependent.com) — Poplar’s own Lilliana O’Neal has been named a Youth ServeMontana Scholarship recipient, recognizing her 100-plus hours of volunteer service. She joins 89 other Montana seniors each receiving $1,500 to support attending an in-state college or university while encouraging continued community involvement.
