• Grant funds new equipment for Sidney Health Center EMS (sidneyherald.com) — Sidney Health Center’s EMS is getting $187,600 in state grant funding to buy new cardiac monitors, IV pumps, a stair chair and a transport ventilator, directly upgrading emergency care for Sidney and Richland County residents. The equipment will help crews handle cardiac, respiratory and other critical emergencies during long rural transports, and the hospital plans to seek more grants for future lifesaving tools. 
• Bresee Center fundraiser set for Oct. 9 (sidneyherald.com) — Sidney’s Bresee Center is inviting residents to a Friday, Oct. 9 fundraiser at the Richland County Fairgrounds featuring a free-will chili dinner, live auction and gun raffle. Proceeds support the center’s sober living environment and recovery services for local residents, with seven raffle prizes ranging from firearms to a substantial local gift certificate basket.
