• Back to school 2026: valley districts begin new year with new programs, projects (bitterrootstar.com) — Victor Public Schools starts the new year under new superintendent and high school principal David Jamison, though the district hasn't yet shared details about enrollment or new programs. Nearby Bitterroot Valley districts, including Darby, Hamilton, Corvallis, Stevensville, and Florence-Carlton, are rolling out new career pathways, facility upgrades, and ballot measures that could shape options and resources for Victor families, too. 
• 'Comedy of errors' leads to drama for Horsemen (hagadonenewsnetwork.com) — Victor football fans should know the Pirates have forfeited their entire season because of a shortage of players, canceling a planned home game against Plains. The Horsemen will instead travel to Clark Fork this Friday, after a penalty-filled loss at Arlee that still featured standout performances and some bright moments for the visiting team.
