• Rural programs to receive more than $34,500 in grants from Heartland United Way (centralnebraskatoday.com) — Aurora organizations are sharing in more than $34,500 in Heartland United Way Rural Community Impact Grants, including funding for the Aurora Library Foundation and TeamMates of Aurora. The 2026 grants support youth programs, trails, meals, and other services across Hamilton County and neighboring rural counties, with checks beginning to go out starting May 14.
