• Holt County budget grows while property tax request falls (summerlandadvocate.com) — Holt County supervisors have approved a $38.9 million budget for 2026-27 that actually lowers the countywide property tax request by $500,000, affecting Ewing homeowners and landowners. With higher assessed valuations, the plan shifts money into roads, asphalt, and bridges, and includes purchase of a new motorgrader, while slightly expanding restricted-funds authority after a unanimous vote in O'Neill.
