• Gretna teacher charged with child abuse (wowt.com) — A Gretna preschool teacher has been charged with intentional child abuse without physical injury, and a judge has set her bond and barred contact with the student involved. Gretna Public Schools say they removed her from the classroom in February, later canceled her contract, and are cooperating with investigators. District leaders stress student safety and note privacy laws limit what they can share.
