• Pillen-led board approves tax incentive for Omaha, Lincoln sports facilities, rejects nine more (newsfromthestates.com) — State leaders have rejected the City of West Point’s bid for state turnback tax incentives, while approving major sports projects in Omaha and Lincoln instead. The board, led by Gov. Jim Pillen, backed a new downtown Omaha pro soccer stadium and a Lincoln youth volleyball complex, but turned down nine other proposals statewide, including West Point’s, after months of uncertainty for applicants.
