• Small earthquakes rattle Fernley again, echoing last week's quake southeast of town (mynews4.com) — Fernley residents felt another round of shaking Sunday as a magnitude 4.7 earthquake centered in Silver Springs sent tremors through town, just a week after the last quake. Local officials and North Lyon firefighters are urging residents to check for injuries, inspect buildings for damage, watch for gas leaks or small fires, and move carefully to safe open areas if structures appear unsafe.
