By recycling nearly all indoor water and returning surplus to Lake Mead for credits, the city helps stretch Southern Nevada’s limited Colorado River allocation while irrigating local golf courses, medians, and the Bird Viewing Preserve.
   

• Henderson Police Recover Korn Bassist's Entire Stolen Bass Collection (wrif.com) — Henderson police have recovered every stolen bass guitar belonging to Korn bassist Ra Diaz after they were taken from a local storage facility. A community tip about a bass in a nearby music shop helped detectives crack the case, leading Diaz to publicly thank Henderson officers for reuniting him with his emotionally significant Chilean‑flag instrument in time for a show.
   

• Women's Soccer Rounds Out Roster With Five Transfer Additions (unlvrebels.com) — A Coronado High School graduate from Henderson, forward Sierah McCallum, is returning home to join UNLV women’s soccer as one of five transfer additions for the 2026 season. The Rebels’ revamped roster also includes transfers from California, Indiana, Colorado, and Japan, adding experience and depth across midfield, defense, and attack ahead of the fall campaign.
