City leaders unveil new complex eyed for former Fiesta Henderson site (news3lv.com) — Henderson officials are moving forward with a major sports and entertainment complex on the former Fiesta Henderson site off Lake Mead Parkway and I-11. Plans call for a large indoor fieldhouse, open field, restaurants, offices, and a hotel, with a public hearing next on the proposed sale and development agreement.
   

2. DMV announces closure of Henderson, North Las Vegas offices as Silverado facility nears opening (fox5vegas.com) — Henderson drivers should prepare for the DMV office on American Pacific Drive to close October 14 as services move to the new Silverado facility this fall. LVCVA approves deal to boost Australian tourism to Las Vegas (fox5vegas.com) — Henderson residents may notice more Australian visitors as Las Vegas tourism officials approve a $1.45 million deal to promote new Qantas nonstop flights from Sydney and other travel campaigns. The broader push to revive international tourism also highlights redevelopment near home, with plans for an indoor sports facility at the former Fiesta Henderson site gaining attention.
