Here are the top three stories today in Las Vegas:
- An overnight shooting just east of the Las Vegas Strip has left one person dead and six others injured. According to Las Vegas police, the incident began with a neighbor dispute in the 4000 block of University Center near Flamingo Road. Investigators are reportedly reviewing surveillance video footage to gather more information on the shooting. (Fox 5 Las Vegas)
- The City of North Las Vegas' Community Correctional Center has recently launched "I Am Possible," a new addiction treatment program funded by $143,000 in grant money. Officials hope the program will not only prevent the escalation of misdemeanors to more serious crimes because of addiction but also reduce rates of recidivism among inmates. (News3LV)
