  1. The family of a Las Vegas woman who died in a December 2019 apartment fire has filed a lawsuit against the companies that maintained the building's fire alarm system. The blaze at the Alpine Motel Apartments, which killed six people, was the deadliest residential fire in Las Vegas history. In the aftermath of the Alpine fire, investigators cited more than 40 fire code violations including a sealed rear exit and a faulty fire alarm system. (U.S. News & World Report)
  2. More than 300 cyclists gathered for the TEAMG Anniversary Memorial Ride, which honored the five cyclists killed in a DUI crash in Las Vegas one year ago on Friday. Friends, family, and members of the community rode down the Las Vegas strip with a Metro Police escort to honor the victims' memory. Michael Anderson, a survivor of that deadly crash, thanked county commissioners for allowing this event to happen. (FOX5 Las Vegas)
  3. Las Vegas residents can expect fairly consistent weather for the week ahead. Between now and Thursday, high temperatures will be in the 50s and lows will be in the 30s, with wind gusts between 14 and 25 mph every day.   4. Former Zappos CEO Tony Hsieh was remembered Saturday during a birthday celebration set up in Downtown Las Vegas. Hsieh, who passed away in November 2020, played an essential part in the revitalization of downtown Las Vegas, pledging $350 million in 2013 for redevelopment. (News3LV)
