Homicides up 21% as 4 more killings push Las Vegas murder total to 73 (news3lv.com) — Homicides in the Las Vegas Valley are up 21% this year, with four recent killings pushing Metro's total to 73 and domestic violence remaining a leading cause. Police say most cases are cleared but urge anyone in abusive situations to seek help immediately, underscoring growing safety concerns for Las Vegas residents.
3. 'Why are you recording me?' Man accused of taking video of woman in Las Vegas gym locker room (8newsnow.com) — Las Vegas police say a man was arrested after allegedly recording women inside stalls at the Las Vegas Athletic Club near Sahara and Maryland Parkway, following an incident first reported in June. Officers later linked him to videos found on seized devices and booked him on a voyeurism-related charge and drug possession, with a court appearance set for Sept. 14.
4. Las Vegas Greek Food Festival 2026 (vegas4locals.com) — Las Vegas residents can dive into Greek food, music, and dancing when the Las Vegas Greek Food Festival returns September 25–27, 2026, at Saint John the Baptist Greek Orthodox Church on El Camino. With $10 general admission, free entry for many military and first responder families, extensive food options, live entertainment, kids' activities, shuttles, and VIP packages, it's a major three-day neighborhood outing.
5. Usher unveils his waxed counterpart on Las Vegas Strip (reviewjournal.com) — Usher's new wax figure is now on display at Madame Tussauds at The Venetian, just as he and Chris Brown get set to co-headline Allegiant Stadium this weekend. He hints at more immersive projects and possibly another Strip residency, while a Gloria Estefan tribute show is slated for Sept. 11 at The Cannery in North Las Vegas.
