🌱 Cat Cafe For Adoptable Pets + Strip Mall Fire + Las Vegas Jobs
The quickest way to get caught up on the most important things happening today in Las Vegas.

Good morning, Las Vegas! I'm here in your inbox per usual to get you caught up on everything you need to know about what's going on around town.
First, today's weather:
Plenty of sunshine. High: 93 Low: 71.
Here are the top three stories in Las Vegas today:
- A local nonprofit has opened a "cat cafe" that gives prospective pet owners a chance to meet adoptable felines in the Valley. Patrons at Hearts Alive Village's cat cafe pay an entry donation fee of $15, which includes a one-hour visit as well as refreshments, to cover the costs of vaccination and microchips for the cats. For more information or to book an appointment, visit the Hearts Alive Village website. (Fox 5 Las Vegas)
- A fire broke out at a strip mall across the street from Sunset Park on Monday. Over 70 firefighters, including one air resource unit, responded and were able to contain the blaze to a single building. Though there is significant damage to some of the businesses in the building, no injuries have been reported at this time. (Fox 5 Las Vegas)
- If you're looking for a new job in the area, plenty of Las Vegas-area businesses are looking to hire top talent. Patch and ZipRecruiter have partnered to bring readers the latest job listings to hit the region, including full-time and part-time work in a variety of industries. Visit the link for job descriptions and salary information. Happy job hunting! (Las Vegas Patch)
