Here are the top stories today in Las Vegas:
- A federal judge has ruled against a challenge to the mask mandate in Las Vegas area public schools. Judge Jennifer Dorsey denied a request for a preliminary injunction, saying the plaintiffs did not establish a viable legal basis for their claims. (News3LV)
- The North Las Vegas Police Department is asking the public's assistance in locating a missing teen Wednesday. Na'Laya Garry, 15, was last seen on Wed, Dec. 15, 21, near her residence located on the 5900 block of Palmilla. Her case has been upgraded from "Runaway" to "Missing" due to suspicious circumstances. - A woman playing slots at a downtown Las Vegas casino got an early Christmas present after hitting a jackpot Wednesday night. According to the El Cortez Hotel & Casino, the guest, identified only as Mary, hit a jackpot worth $467,387.89 while playing an Elvis slot machine. (FOX5 Las Vegas)
- On Monday, Dec. 27, Fremont Street Experience will host the SRS Distribution Las Vegas Welcome Reception and Bowl Bash Concert by the Village People on Wednesday, Dec. 29. Both events are free and open to the public.(FOX5 Las Vegas)
