Las Vegas Raiders: Development Agreement Delayed, Construction Should Stay On Schedule

The stadium authority said Wednesday that the delay is from problems hammering out the agreement between the team and construction companies

There's another slight hiccup in getting the stadium off the ground for the Las Vegas Raiders. But, officials say, it should not result in a delay in construction or getting the team ready for the 202o opening day.

The Las Vegas Stadium Authority says that they won't be able to finalize the development agreement with the team until early next year.

The agreement had been expected to be in place by next month so construction could begin.

The delay is the result of the team needing more time to complete agreements with the two companies that will lead construction of the $1.9 billion stadium. Officials say that they still anticipate groundbreaking to happen in November.
