🌱 Las Vegas Rental Prices Up From Last Year + AREA15's LIFTOFF

Here are the top three stories in Las Vegas today:
- A man convicted of drunk driving has been re-sentenced after the state Supreme Court vacated his original sentencing last year. Henry Aparicio, 27, was originally convicted of driving drunk when he crashed into another car back in 2018, killing a married Las Vegas couple. On Tuesday, he was sentenced to 15 to 44 years in prison on two counts of DUI resulting in death and a count of reckless driving — the same prison term Aparicio originally received at his first sentencing hearing in 2019. - According to Zumper's national rental report, the average price of a two-bedroom rental unit in Las Vegas has gone up 27.5 percent since last year. The report shows that Las Vegas is currently the 45th most expensive rental market in the nation (out of 100). As of Dec. 2021, one and two-bedroom units were rented at median prices of $1,240 and $1,530. (KTNV Las Vegas)
- Pre-sale tickets are now on sale for a panoramic skyline experience ride in Las Vegas. AREA15's elevated bar experience dubbed "LIFTOFF" is set to open in Feb. The ride, which lasts seven minutes and features a 16-seat gondola that rotates 360 degrees, will have guests strapped into their seats with their feet dangling in the air before ascending to the 130-foot summit with the Las Vegas skyline as their background.
