🌱 Man Charged for Infant's Murder + Demolition Causes Injury

Here are the top 3 stories today in Las Vegas:
- A man was charged with murder in Arizona after a toddler died at a Las Vegas hospital. Nikko Demitri McLachlan, aged 27, was on the scene with a neighbor performing CPR. Police identified McLachlan as the boyfriend of the infant's mother. He has officially been charged with first-degree murder per domestic violence, second-degree murder per domestic violence, and child abuse per domestic violence. (News3LV)
- A US 95 bridge collapsed while under construction and trapped a contract worker. After the worker was rescued, they were taken to the hospital and treated for injuries because of claimed back pain. The Transportation Department does not believe that any of the construction workers were at fault for this situation. (Las Vegas Review-Journal)
- Police are in the process of investigating a shooting that took place at a Las Vegas business. The shooting took place near Sahara Avenue off of the South Maryland Parkway. One person had to be taken to the hospital. No further information was disclosed on the subject. Authorities are urging people to keep their distance from the area. (Las Vegas Sun)

- The US National Weather Service of Las Vegas Nevada is alerting everyone that the Wind Advisory is still in full effect through today. There are sudden crosswinds and blowing dust that may lower visibilities and make it difficult to travel. Drive with caution! (Facebook)
- The Las Vegas Valley Water District is reminding everyone that it should feel good to conserve water. To help do your part, the Southern Nevada Water Authority is offering residents and businesses Water Smart programs to help save water and money. (Facebook)
- The City of Las Vegas Government is bringing awareness to the UNLV nursing programs. Even though hospitals around Las Vegas are continuing to struggle with staffing issues, and nursing shortages are nothing new, it is nice to see an increased interest in these programs. (Facebook)
