Good morning, everybody! It's me, Dominique-Noelle Rafael, your host of the Las Vegas Daily — here to impart everything you need to know about what's happening in the community today. Without further ado...

First, today's weather:

Hot with plenty of sunshine. High: 107 Low: 82.

Here are the top stories in Las Vegas today:

  1. A 10-year-old boy who was missing since Monday has been located by police. The boy had last been seen around 1:00 p.m. in the 4800 block of Boulder Highway. According to police, the boy may have been in severe emotional distress and in need of medical assistance. As of Tuesday evening, no additional information is available. (Las Vegas Sun)
  2. A plot of land on the south Strip has been purchased by a mystery buyer. The land was sold by Lily Funds founder Tom McManus for about $12.8 million. According to a news release from Mr. McManus, the buyer wished to remain anonymous. However, McManus is "excited for the possibilities." The property is located between the Diamond Inn Motel and the Little Church of the West wedding chapel. (Las Vegas Review-Journal)
  3. A six-year-old is dead and a two-year-old is in critical condition after an incident involving a swimming pool on Saturday. According to police, it is the first drowning death of a child this year. Police are stressing the importance of pool safety by following the "three Ps," which are: patrol, protect and prepare.
