The quickest way to get caught up on the most important things happening today in Las Vegas.

Hi all. It's me, Dominique-Noelle Rafael, your host of the Las Vegas Daily. Here are all the most important things to know about what's happening in town.

First, today's weather:

Plenty of sunshine. High: 99 Low: 76.

Here are the top 3 stories today in Las Vegas:

  1. The future is now! Yesterday, a new energy hub opened in North Las Vegas with the goal of increasing clean energy access in Nevada. The air-liquid hydrogen plant will be converting gas from landfills into hydrogen. According to US Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm, the opening of this new plant will make the state one step ahead in clean energy production. To learn more, check out the article. (News3LV)
  2. Do you ever find yourself wondering where to eat while waiting for your flight at Harry Reid International Airport? Look no further because Eater Las Vegas has got you covered. They have compiled a list of some of the best places to eat during your stopover. If you find yourself waiting in Terminal 1 at the C Gates, make sure to stop by Jose Cuervo Tequileria. Their nachos and margaritas are a great way to start your trip. For more recommendations, please read the full article. (Eater Vegas)
  3. A Las Vegas sports official was brutally attacked following a high school recreation league basketball game. Veteran basketball referee Perry Woodward is recovering after he was punched outside the Doolittle Community Center on May 17 by a coach and his son. Woodward was sent to the hospital with a brain bleed, concussion, fractured teeth, and a complete tear of his ankle; doctors say he is lucky to be alive. (Fox5)
