Nevada boxing regulators voted Monday to close a legal loophole by giving themselves authority over charity unarmed combat events like one that led to the death last month of a UNLV student competitor at a fraternity fundraiser. State Athletic Commission Chairman Stephen J. Cloobeck declared the rule "Nathan's Law" in honor of Nathan Valencia, the 20-year-old who died from head injuries following his Nov. 19 "Fight Night" bout sponsored by school-sanctioned fraternity Kappa Sigma.   2. Hearts Alive Village has unveiled a new mural to honor Tina Tintor, the woman who lost her life in a crash involving former Raiders wide receiver Henry Ruggs III. The 23-year-old and her golden retriever Max didn't survive the November crash. On Sunday, the new mural was unveiled in the lobby at the animal clinic and pet food bank. (KTNV Las Vegas)
  3. Two Las Vegas sisters say the food truck they operate to help pay for school and gain real-world business experience has been stolen. (Elko Daily Free Press)
  4. A Las Vegas prep school was placed on lockdown Monday after a gun was found on campus.(FOX5 Las Vegas)
  5. Improvements along California Avenue from Commerce Street to Third Street started yesterday, leading to lane and street closures; the city of Las Vegas says the project will take about six months to complete. (News3LV)
