1. New NBA arena, new intersection? New development could be coming to the Las Vegas Strip (news3lv.com) — Drivers in Las Vegas could see a major change near the south Strip, as Chetak Development proposes a new four-lane Diamond Arena Drive and the first new Strip intersection in 60 years at Russell Road and Las Vegas Boulevard. Tied to a potential NBA arena, the project aims to ease congestion, improve airport access, and could take about 18 months once approved.
   

2. Las Vegas valley celebrates Hispanic Heritage Month with festivals, food and live music (8newsnow.com) — Hispanic Heritage Month will bring a full slate of free and low-cost celebrations to Las Vegas and North Las Vegas, including Mexican Independence Day festivities, concerts, and cultural performances. You'll find parades, food festivals, art exhibitions, and Día de los Muertos events at parks and civic centers across the valley, with many activities running from mid-September through early December.
   

3. Living Well Seniors and Veterans Expo: Veterans Day Celebration (vegas4locals.com) — Las Vegas veterans, seniors, and military families are invited to a free Veterans Day community expo at the Suncoast Hotel and Casino on Tuesday, November 10, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. You can meet veteran-focused organizations, explore local resources, enjoy giveaways, and receive a Golden Ticket for a December finale event, with advance online registration encouraged but not required.
   

4. Elvis immersive concert at Westgate Las Vegas set for fall (8newsnow.com) — Las Vegas Elvis fans can look forward to a new immersive concert, "1970 LIVE! That's the Way It Was," debuting Oct. 24 at Westgate Las Vegas. The show recreates Elvis's famed residency in the same theater where his 1970 documentary was filmed, offering locals a chance to relive a classic Strip era with modern production.
