Happy Thursday, Las Vegas! Here's everything you need to know to get this day started. These are the most important things happening in Las Vegas today.
First, today's weather:
Plenty of sunshine. High: 63 Low: 39.
Here are the top 3 stories today in Las Vegas:
- The Las Vegas police are asking for the public's help in seeking a missing man that was last seen a week ago. According to authorities, Rodney Dean was last seen on Feb. 9 in Las Vegas. He is around 5 feet and 8 inches in height and 140 pounds in weight. Dean has brown hair and hazel eyes. He could also possibly be in danger. All hospitals have been directed to check their registries. Anyone with information should contact the police immediately. (KTNV Las Vegas)
- Tech firms are getting excited because sometime within the next few months, a downtown coworking space will make its debut. The International Innovation Center II, now known as The Herbert, will serve as a business incubator for tech companies. They will specifically be focusing on developing smart technologies that align with the city's initiatives. The space has already landed two tenants and can accommodate up to eight companies. - This year marked the first annual "Battle of the Badges" blood drive. Local police and fire departments battled it out to see who could rack up the most donations. This initiative was a great success and actually helped benefit the Nevada Red Cross by boosting area blood supply. At the end of the day, the Clark County Fire and Las Vegas Fire & Rescue won the crown. In total, 176 donations were collected. These donations have the potential to save over 500 lives. (News3LV)
