Brilliant sunshine. High: 99 Low: 77.
📢 I'm looking for business owners and marketers in Las Vegas who want to build awareness, connect with customers and increase sales.
I have a limited number of sponsorships available to introduce our Las Vegas Daily readers to local businesses they need to know about. If that's you, then I invite you to learn more and secure your spot now.
Here are the top three stories in Las Vegas today:
- More people are working now in Las Vegas than before the pandemic, and new numbers show the metropolitan area has recovered faster than any other major city in the US. According to new statistics from the U.S. Bureau of Labor, job losses in Spring 2020 were comparable to those of the Great Depression — and the Las Vegas economy was one of the hardest hit in the country — but the Metro experienced more employment growth than anywhere else in the country between March 2021 and March 2022, up 12.6 percent. - Las Vegas' infamous Elvis Presley-themed weddings may end soon. The Las Vegas Review-Journal reported that the company that bought the rights to Elvis Presley's likeness in 2013, Authentic Brands Group, issued cease-and-desist orders to multiple Vegas wedding chapels specializing in Elvis-themed ceremonies under the reason of stopping the unauthorized use of Presley's name, likeness, and iconic voice in ads and merchandise. (Las Vegas Patch)
- Yesterday, officials with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department said a driver involved in a fatal hit-and-run crash in northwest Las Vegas was at large. At the intersection of Centennial Parkway and Shaumber Road, two vehicles collided. One vehicle occupant was pronounced dead at the scene while three other occupants were transported to an area hospital to be treated for injuries. The driver left the scene and was last seen walking westbound. (KTNV 13 Action News Las Vegas)
