Here are the top 3 stories today in Las Vegas:

  1. Psychedelic drugs are illegal in most of the country. Psilocybin, LSD, and mescaline are considered Class 1 drugs by the federal government. For many years, universities stayed away from research on these drugs for various reasons. However, the times are changing, and researchers at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas are "looking into the potential mental health application of these drugs." (KNPR)
  2. Are you looking for something fun to do this weekend? If so, look no further than Taco Bell's first-ever Drag Brunch Experience! The five-city tour will kick off at the Taco Bell Cantina on the Las Vegas Strip this Sunday. There will be performances from local drag queens Coco Montrese, Mirage Amura, and Anetra. You do not want to miss this! For more details on how to attend, please read the full article. (News3LV)
  3. An apartment complex that has had 18 shootings in the past year was found to be operating without a license. According to reports, last Tuesday, the commission authorized the District Attorney's office to take action against Apex Las Vegas. It was discovered that the property was "being used for an unlawful and unsafe apartment house without a business license and in violation of the public nuisance law and other laws."
