🌱 Rent Control Petition Fails + Youtuber Arrested

Here are the top three stories in Las Vegas today:

  1. The rent control proposal will not be on the November ballot. The Neighborhood Stability Ordinance failed to collect the required petition signatures before the Primary Election date. It is unclear whether or not The Culinary Union will redo the petition for the 2024 ballot. (Fox 5 Las Vegas)
  2. A YouTuber has been arrested by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department. YouTuber Graham Liberal was arrested for organizing a trick-driving takeover along Las Vegas Boulevard. Liberal is known on YouTube as MRGOTDAMNIT. The department posted a video of the arrest on its social media account. (KTNV 13 Action News Las Vegas)
  3. The average price of gasoline in Las Vegas has finally dropped below $5 per gallon. The average price in the valley is $4.99. This is the first time the price has dipped below the $5 mark since Mar. 15. The national average price is currently at $4.86 per gallon. (Las Vegas Review-Journal)
