Here are the top three stories today in Las Vegas:

  1. Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department is searching for a missing person. John Monahan, 79 years old, went missing on Thursday around 10:15 p.m. He is reportedly in severe emotional distress and may be in need of medical assistance. Anyone with information on Monahan's whereabouts is asked to contact the department immediately. (Fox 5 Las Vegas)
  2. Iconic LA donut shop Randy's Donuts is opening its first Las Vegas location this month. The shop has been featured in various movies and television shows throughout the years (most notably in Marvel's Iron Man 2). The new location will be located at 2170 S. Rainbow Boulevard. The shop will be giving away free raised glazed donuts between 6:00 a.m. and noon on Tuesday, Aug. 16. (Fox 5 Las Vegas)
  3. The City of Las Vegas is painting AMP utility boxes. The AMP Utility Cabinet Painting Program is a partnership between the Las Vegas Arts Commission, the Southern Nevada Water District, NV Energy, and the City of Las Vegas. Local artists will be designing and painting the boring grey boxes to add some color to the city landscape. (Press Release Desk)
