The quickest way to get caught up on the most important things happening today in Las Vegas.

Hey, friends! It's me, Dominique-Noelle Rafael, your host of the Las Vegas Daily. Keep reading for everything you need to know about what's happening around town.
First, today's weather:
Mostly sunny and hot. High: 109 Low: 89.
Here are the top stories in Las Vegas today:
- A local doctor is back home after volunteering in Ukraine. Dr. Wilson Bernales said that it was a haunting experience to be in the war-torn country. While Dr. Bernales originally intended to integrate with the Ukrainian military, himself a U.S. military retiree, he became the sole doctor at a shelter in the Zaporizhia region in southeastern Ukraine. He said that the 24/7 responsibilities took a toll on him, and he had to return home. Read more of his story at the link. (Las Vegas Review-Journal)
- A semi-truck and a train collided on Wednesday evening. According to police, the collision happened near Range Road and the 215, when the truck driver failed to stop at the stop sign. Police say the driver followed his GPS to that location and did not see the train when he was on the tracks. The driver was taken to the hospital with minor injuries. As of Thursday evening, no other injuries have been reported. (Fox 5 Las Vegas)
- Six workers were severely burned in an explosion at the Boulder City Armorock facility on Monday. All of the workers are expected to recover, though they vary in intensity of their injuries. One worker, Eddie DiGiangi, was the closest to the blast and remains at UMC while he receives treatment. His family members are asking anyone able to support his recovery through their GoFundMe page. - Cloudy water? The Las Vegas Valley Water District says that shouldn't be an issue. The tiny air bubbles are caused by the warmer weather outside and the cool air in your home. It doesn't affect the quality of the water. (Las Vegas Valley Water District via Facebook)
