Here are the top three stories in Las Vegas today:

  1. Las Vegas' first ever ski lodge has officially hit the strip. Ski Lodge at the Cosmopolitan is now open to the public seven days a week. The hybrid ski-lodge and restaurant makes for a unique night-out for guests, who can cozy up to the fireplace while enjoying craft cocktails. The venue is open from 5:00 p.m. on and is only open to guests ages 18 and up. (Vegas | Modern Luxury)
  2. A brand new ultramodern substance abuse treatment program has opened in Las Vegas. Lion Heart Recovery Center was opened by licensed therapist and veteran peer-to-peer coach Kayla Briers. She shared that one of the most special things about Lion Heart Recovery Center is its size, enabling her to provide lots of one-to-one and specialized care. (News3LV)
  3. A local church is hosting a massive giveaway that will benefit up to 1000 veterans. In partnership with the Voice of the Veteran organization, the International Church of Las Vegas (ICLV) will be donating clothing, heaters, fans, blankets, furniture, mattresses, and other essential items provided by major retailers. In the coming year, CityServe Nevada plans expand its efforts, working through their collaborative networks in Clark County. (Fox 5 Las Vegas)
