- A father that was helping his son with eviction problems was fatally shot. Roy Gaines is suspected to have been shot by his son Justin Gaines on Dec. 15. Roy Gaines' wife had told police that she believes that her son held some resentment towards both of them after serving time a few years back. (FOX5 Las Vegas)
- A pediatric neurologist from the Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine at UNLV created a literary space for children to understand autism. Dr. Rooman F. Ahad carries some very impressive credentials and has put her skills to good use. "Amazing Abe has Autism" will not only help children learn about people with special needs, but it will also help their parents and guardians understand the subject better too. (UNLV NewsCenter)
